Description

This course will examine current legal issues in trade remedy cases and compare the U.S. legal frameworks at the administrative and appellate levels with other countries’ trade remedy regimes. Special attention will be devoted to antidumping AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) cases before the International Trade Commission (ITC) and the Department of Commerce, including the methodology used in the calculation of AD and CVD margins for non-market economy countries. Through simulation exercises, students will learn to identify key issues and develop arguments in trade remedy cases.
