: This seminar is ONLY for students who are externing in the United States but outside of the greater Washington, DC area. This is a three-credit class. IMPORTANT: This long distance seminar will meet at WCL for a three-to-four day intensive seminar for the week of May 12, and reconvene again at WCL for a three-to-four day intensive seminar during the week of August 18. Attendance is MANDATORY. REGISTRATION: There are two parts to registering for an externship: 1) Register on-line for the seminar as you would for any class. 2) Register for the field placement by going to the Externship Page www.wcl.american.edu/externship and submit a Request for Approval, which generates the necessary forms.

Description

This is a three-credit, graded seminar. It is taken in conjunction with a field placement in a non-profit, court, government organization, or a private law firm doing pro bono work. IMPORTANT: This long distance seminar will meet on the following days and times at WCL: May 12 from 10:00am to 4:00pm, May 13 from 10:00am to 4:00pm, May 14 from 10am to 4:00pm; AUGUST 18-20, times TBD.
