Description
Purpose and Objectives. The course will acquaint students with the primary laws and rules governing consumer financial services, the agencies with jurisdiction over these laws and supervisory powers over the financial providers, and the process by which these laws are enacted, interpreted and enforced. The consumer financial services industry is a large part of the American economy, with new products frequently introduced and constantly emerging methods of distribution, including e-commerce and social media.
