Description

The course will focus on a broad range of issues concerning national security law in the age of terrorism, including the war powers of Congress and the President; combatting terrorism under the international law of armed conflict; targeted killing of suspected terrorists; detention, interrogation, and (mis)treatment of detainees in the war against Al Qaeda and the Taliban; criminal prosecution of terrorists in civilian courts and military commissions; and electronic surveillance programs.
