Description

This course will survey the common law, state statutory and federal rules of evidence. The rules, principles and policies behind the rules, and cases interpreting them shall be examined, including the law governing the proof of disputed issues of fact, functions of the judge and the jury, relevancy, hearsay, authentication, best evidence rule, opinion rule and competence and examination of witnesses. The rules, principles behind the rules, and cases interpreting them will be examined.
