Textbooks and Other Materials

The textbook information on this page was provided by the instructor. Students should use this information when considering purchases from the AU Campus Store or other vendors. Students may check to determine if books are currently available for purchase online.

You need a casebook, a statute book, and photocopied supplemental materials, as follows: Casebook: Glicksman, Markell, Buzbee, Mandelker, & Bodansky, Environmental Protection Law and Policy (6th edition, 2011), Wolters Kluwer's Aspen Casebook Series, ISBN 978-0-7355-9430-2. Statute Book: Selected Environmental Law Statutes, Educational Edition, West Publishing Company. The current edition is 2012-2013, ISBN 978-0-314-94969-1. Also, earlier editions beginning with 2002-2003 can also be used; the pagination and layout will be different, but the statutory provisions needed for this course have not changed. Photocopied supplemental materials are available from the law school.

First Class Readings

For the first class, quickly read casebook pages 59-72, and carefully read casebook pages 460-465, 188-189, and 1010-1013. From the photocopied supplemental materials, quickly read the US EPA organization chart and presidential radio address transcripts, and carefully read the material on the Mead case.
