Description
This course covers the various principles and rules that govern lawyer conduct. It satisfies the ABA requirement that all law students take a course in professional responsibility, but more importantly, it also has far reaching implications for your everyday practice after you graduate. My primary goal is to make you aware of the variety of practice settings in which lawyers work and the different pressures these practice settings generate; give you the tools to resolve the legal and ethical issues that lawyers confront every day; and help you navigate the enormous legal, cultural, and economic forces that are reshaping the legal profession. While virtually all other law school courses focus primarily on issues of concern to clients, this course addresses issues of primary concern to you as law practitioner and future professional leader.
