Description
This course examines issues related to the system of constitutional governance in the United States. We will cover three core areas: (1) structure of government; (2) substantive due process; and (3) equal protection. The focus of the course is both historical and doctrinal. We will examine the evolution of constitutional doctrine over time. The course provides a survey of general constitutional doctrine, and will provide students with the analytical skills to examine general questions of constitutional law.
