Tuition and Fees:

Academic Credit:

Each Specialized Summer Program in D.C. charges according to separate fee structures for certificate of attendance or CLE credit. Students applying for academic credit will be charged $1,700 per credit hour. Additionally, there is a non-refundable application fee of $65. Total Specialized Summer Session costs will depend on number of credits taken. Please see individual program websites for a complete cost breakdown.

CLE & Certificate Participants: 

Certificate of Attendance (US and Foreign Attorneys): 

1 course: $1,200

2 courses: $1,950

3 courses: $2,700 

4 courses: $3,450 

Non-refundable Application Fee: $65 

Certificate of Attendance for Alumni/NGO, Governmental, Non Profit Employees

Visiting Students:

Visiting students should consult their home school financial aid office for information on funding for a summer session.

CLE & Certificate Participants: 

Unfortunately, federal financial aid is not available for participants applying for Certificate of Attendance or CLE credit. 

Cancellation/Refund Policy:

Written cancellation received three business days prior to the course will be fully refunded (swermiel@wcl.american.edu). Cancellations after that time will not be refunded, however, course materials will be sent and access to webcasts will be provided if available. Substitutions will be considered.
