Expenses

The total cost of the program is approximately $12,000, based on tuition costs along with the following estimated travel and per diem expenses:

  • $800, round trip airfare from the East Coast/Midwest
  • $350, three days of program-related train travel
  • $1,680 ($60 per day x 28 days), daily expenses (local travel, meals, snacks, metro, phone)
  • $9,828 tuition (also includes shared hotel accommodations, breakfast, insurance, some transfers, some sightseeing, initial reception & festive celebrations, some academic materials etc.)
  • $250, textbooks

Cancellation of the program: To date the program has never been cancelled. Should the security situation or other force majeure cause the cancellation of the 2012 program, the decision will be made by the WCL as soon as feasible and all students enrolled in the program will be promptly informed by email. All monies paid toward the cost of the program will be refunded. Best efforts will be made to arrange for each enrolled student to attend a similar program, if the student so desires.

Withdrawals and Refunds:

    a. If, prior to the commencement of a program, a U.S. State Department Travel Warning or Alert covering program dates and destinations is issued for the country(ies) in which the program will be conducted, all registrants must be notified promptly and be given an opportunity to withdraw from the program.

    b. If, during the course of a program, a U.S. State Department Travel Warning or Alert covering program dates and destinations is issued for the country(ies) in which the program is being conducted, students must be notified promptly and given an opportunity to withdraw from the program.

    c. If changes are made in the course offerings or other significant aspects of the program, those changes must be communicated promptly to any registrant who has paid a deposit or registered for the program, and an opportunity must be provided for that person to withdraw.

If students withdraw as permitted above prior to the commencement of the program, or if a program is canceled, students must receive a full refund of all monies advanced within twenty (20) days after the cancellation or withdrawal.

If students withdraw as permitted above during the course of the program, or if the program is terminated, students must be refunded fees paid except for room and board payments utilized prior to the date of termination or withdrawal.

If a student withdraws for reasons other than those under a), b), and c ) above, the tuition payment may or may not be fully or partially refundable depending on the date and circumstances of the withdrawal. In any case, the student will still be responsible for hotel and food costs incurred or to be incurred by the program on his/her behalf (e.g. non refundable hotel costs and/or room guarantees).
