Career Development Grants
Criteria: Awarded to women currently holding a bachelor's degree who are preparing for career advancement or career change.
Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents whose last degree was received prior to June 30, 1994

Administered by the General Federation of Women’s Clubs of Massachusetts, this program is open
to women maintaining legal residents in MA and who are returning to college after an absence of at
least four years.

Career Advancement Scholarship
Criteria: Awarded to women 25 years and older who are US citizens and are accepted into an accredited program at a US institution (including Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands), and will be graduating within 12-24 months from the date of the grant. Applicant must also demonstrate financial need.

Effie Solomon Memorial Scholarship
Awarded by the American Association of University Women, Beaver Valley Branch. This program
is open to female residents from Beaver County, PA who are enrolled in an accredited law school.
Those who have completed at least one year of law school in good standing shall be given
preference.

Elaine Osborne Jacobson Award
Awarded by the American Association for Justice, this program is open to female law students who

through their law school academic and clinical work and other related activities demonstrates their
aptitude for and a long-term commitment to a legal career of advocacy on behalf of the health care
needs of children, women, the elderly or the disabled.
