Dr. Doron Zimmerman (Cantab) FRHistS is a senior researcher at the Center for Security Studies at ETH Zurich since 1999. He is the head of a project on political violence movements, internal and international terrorism, and counter-terrorism. Zimmermann was elected a member of the Royal Historical Society, London, in 2003 and is an acting, full-time member of the NATO/PfP Counter-Terrorism Working Group. Moreover, he participates in the framework of the ICTAC (international counter-terrorism academic community). Doron has published on international security policy, political violence, terrorism and counter-terrorism. He was educated in Switzerland, Britain and the United States.
