Dr. William Nolte is Deputy Assistant Director of Central Intelligence for Analysis
and Production, with duties such as chairmanship of the DCI’s Foreign Language
Executive Committee and membership on the secretariat of the Intelligence Science
Board. Since December 2004, in preparation for the transition to structures supporting
the Director of National Intelligence, Nolte has been assigned to lead the creation
of an intelligence community office of education and training. A career National
Security Agency officer, Nolte has served at NSA as director of training, chief
of legislative affairs, and senior intelligence advisor to the director of signals
intelligence. Holding a B.A. in History from La Salle University and a Ph.D. in
History from the University of Maryland, Nolte has taught at several Washington
area universities, is on the board of CIA’s Studies in Intelligence.
