The Health Law and Justice Initiative (HLJI) is a student-run organization that seeks to promote health law opportunities for WCL students. HLJI seeks to encourage professional development, explore career opportunities, expand the health law curriculum, and raise awareness of the right to health. HLJI accomplishes these goals by sponsoring panel discussions with practicing attorneys and professors; organizing community service events; and hosting "downtown practitioner meetings" which give students the opportunity to meet with practicing lawyers at their places of work to discuss current issues and career development. If you would like more information about HLJI, please email hlji@wcl.american.edu or ap4993a@american.edu.
