Future Litigators Association

Future Litigators Association (FLA) would provide a forum for law students interested in pursuing careers in litigation (criminal or civil; plaintiff or defense). It will encourage members to acquire litigation knowledge through seminars, court attendance, and visiting practitioners. Its approach to litigation would be more theoretical than the purely skills-based groups. FLA would be open to any law student who foresees being in a litigation career path upon graduation. Not only would the association help facilitate contact with practitioners in litigation but with litigation specific organizations, such as the American Bar Association's Section of Litigation and the Association of Litigation Support Professionals (ALSP). The ABA Section of Litigation is the largest specialty section of the American Bar Association and is dedicated to helping litigators become more effective advocates for their clients. ALSP is a national group with local chapters dedicated to establishing global professional standards for the litigation support profession through collaboration, education and certification.
