The University of Ottawa is unique in allowing its students to choose their preferred language of study. It offers courses in Canada's two official languages and enables students to pursue studies in French, English or both. Students may also choose to improve their linguistic skills by taking courses at the University's Second Language Institute.

Courses are offered in both French and English.
COURSES
Students will receive up to 12 credits towards their law degree. Only the credits and not the grades will transfer per ABA requirements. The acceptance of any credit or grade for any courses taken at the University of Ottawa program, including externships and other clinical offerings, is subject to determination by the WCL, Office of the Registrar.
The Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa teaches both common law and civil law, and provides a unique opportunity to study both legal systems. These two systems are present in over 72 percent of the countries of the world and knowledge of both helps to ensure access to national and international markets in an era of globalization. The following is a selection of courses offered. Students may choose from a number of classes offered at the University of Ottawa. WCL students will be enrolled in regularly scheduled classes with fellow Ottawa students.
