Université de Montréal
The Faculty of Law of the Université de Montréal serves as the lead institution for Canadian law schools. The Université de Montréal’s master’s and doctoral programs welcome many international students and the Faculty’s areas of expertise and development include the law of international business transactions and the law of new technologies, including computers and bio-diversity. The University’s Research Center, the Center for Research in Public law, welcomes graduate students and is an important research facility in Canada with close links to the international scientific community and an interest in new technologies law. The Research Center is also the key Internet provider and developer in legal informatics in Canada.
Located in a neighborhood where various languages and cultural communities interact every day, and in a city that is home to two great cultures, French and English, the University is firmly established in North America and yet has preserved its deep European roots. These traits have helped to make the Université de Montréal a forward-looking institution.
