Language:
Students must
be comfortable in the language of instruction. Classes in Mexico are given
exclusively in Spanish. Classes in Canada are given in either English or
French depending upon the institution. As part of the agreement, each
school is responsible for certifying the language capability of its
students.
Courses:
Students will fully integrate into the academic life
of the institution which they attend. That means that they will choose from regularly scheduled
courses and seminars. All students will be assigned a professor and/or staff member who will
assist the student in selecting classes and with day to day concerns.
Credit:
Students will receive credit towards their
law degree. As per ABA regulations, the credits and not the grades will
transfer. A full time load at a foreign institution will usually translate
into 12 credit hours.
Tuition:
Students pay
full-time tuition at their home institution as part of a tuition swap
agreement among the schools.
Financial Aid:
There should be no impact on financial aid. Once a student has been selected they are
strongly encouraged to arrange a meeting with the Financial Aid Office.
Housing:
Housing is either available on campus or assistance will be provided in locating suitable
housing.
