Article Submissions
The Modern American is published twice a year (fall and spring issues per Volume). We are currently reviewing a limited number of submissions for our Fall 2012 issue.
Our guidelines are the following: please submit a cover letter, resume/CV, and article via e-mail to tma@wcl.american.edu or via ExpressO; submissions must be a Word document that is no longer than 40 pages in length with 1" margins; single-spaced and non-justified paragraph formatting; and Garamond, 12-point font. TMA uses endnotes in A Uniform System of Citation (19th Ed.) ("The Bluebook") and literary style of The Chicago Manual of Style. The Senior Managing Editor will provide a decision regarding your submission within three weeks. Please contact The Modern American with any questions regarding the eligibility of your article.
