Michelle Holland

Michelle is a second year student at WCL. She graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2011 with a degree in Political Science and Spanish. Michelle is also a member of the Journal of Gender, Social Policy & the Law and the Symposium Editor of the Student Health Law and Justice Society. Her main focus areas are National Security Law and Health Law and she is excited to work to redefine The Modern American with her executive board.

 

 

 

Senior Managing Editor

Danisbel Avello

Danisbel graduated from the University of Florida with a concentration in Criminology, Public Relations and Mass Communications. She is currently in her second year at WCL where she serves as the Secretary of External Affairs for the Latino/a Student Association, is part of the Criminal Justice Clinic, and is interested in Crisis Communication, Latin American Politics, and Diverse Rights.

Pablo Carrasco

Pablo is a second year student at WCL. He currently works at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, which is on-par with his interests in employment discrimination. He believes that the future is in sustainable development and is extremely interested in Environmental Law, both international and domestic.

Sasha Garcon

Sasha is a second year student at WCL. She graduated for the University of Maryland College Park in 2011 with a degree in Family Science and Sociology. Sasha is also the Executive Chair of the Equal Justice Foundation and a Marshall Brennan Fellow. Her main focus areas are Juvenile Justice and Child Advocacy.

Samantha Aster

Samantha is a second year student at WCL. She graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a degree in Government and Politics. Samantha is also a Junior Staffer for the Labor and Employment Law Forum. Her main focus areas are Administrative Law, Constitutional Law and Government Policy.

Nivedita Sathiakumar

Nivedita is a second year student at WCL. She is also a member of the Business Law Review and a Barbri representative. She is interested in a variety of legal fields, but is particularly drawn to Corporate, Bankruptcy and Administrative Law. She also hopes to be involved in WCL's Tax Clinic next year.
