“The Assignment of the Legal Reform under Cultural Perspectives of Law: Comparing Asian and Korean Laws with U.S. Law in the Globalization Era”
How does the law conceive the consciousness of ordinary and contemporary peoples of Asia and the U.S., and shape their way of thinking, sense of identity, and their cultural practices? How does legal pluralism as the foundation of legal legitimacy function in an era of globalization? How should the U.S. legal system and the Asian - mainly Korean - legal system adapt in a globalizing world? In this study, recommendations on how legal reforms should be undertaken in both the U.S. and Korean legal systems will be proffered. The “universal development of law” is espoused in lieu of the globalization of law.
