Program on International Organizations, Law and Diplomacy - Washington
Housing: The program fees do not include housing in Washington. If needed, participants may request accommodations through the American University summer housing program on main campus (about a 20 minute walk to the Washington College of Law – there is also a free shuttle bus). Participants will pay Washington housing costs directly to the AU summer housing program. Please download, fill out, and submit the Housing Request Form. The recommended housing is in Centennial Hall which is one of the nicest/newest residences and features 24-hour desk operations, all linens, air conditioning, wireless internet access, semi-private bathrooms, parking, and fitness center access. Other options may also be available, please contact summerhousing@american.edu with questions.
Visas: If you require a visa to visit the United States please contact program staff and the appropriate consulate as soon as possible to make preparations.
Course Registration: WCL students will register for courses (academic credit) through the standard registration process at myau.american.edu. Certificate of Completion participants will register directly through the program. Both types of registration will take place in April and May.
Policies: Courses may be cancelled if there are less than five participants enrolled. The program will work to accommodate participants affected by this potential (hopefully unlikely) situation.
