AUWCL and Thomson Reuters will host the "Latin America/U.S. M & A Trends, Trade, and Regulation Forum 2013," co-chaired by alumnus Thomas Morante '77 (Holland & Knight) and José Eduardo Carneiro Queiroz (Mattos Filhos). The two-day program held June 20-21 examines the growing Latin American deal and investment landscape, and provides an understanding of legal and regulatory dynamics driving business and mergers and acquisitions in Latin America. As part of the Summer Institute on Law and Government, AUWCL and The Campaign Legal Center and will launch a new Voting Rights Law Institute to help train the next generation of voting rights litigators. The four-night Institute June 24-27 will feature instruction from Gerry Hebert, the Campaign Legal Center's executive director and director of litigation, who will be joined each night by seasoned voting rights litigators, appellate advocates, and scholars in the field.
