  • Dean Grossman Addresses UN General Assembly

    Dean Claudio Grossman, in his role as chair of the United Nations Committee against Torture (UN CAT), presented the Committee's annual address to the UN General Assembly in New York on Tuesday. Dean Grossman and Juan Mendez, UN Special Rapporteur on Torture, also participated in a panel on "Identifying and Overcoming Challenges to Ratification and Implementation of the UN Convention against Torture" presented by the Convention against Torture Initiative (CTI) and the government of Denmark. In addition, Dean Grossman met with the Secretary General of the UN. As part of this trip, Dean Grossman organized a dinner with select AUWCL alumni Monday evening to discuss new initiatives taking place at the law school, including the latest news about the Tenley Campus.
