American University Washington College of Law broke ground on a new home at the historic Tenley Campus in a ceremony June 12, hosted by AU President Cornelius Kerwin and Dean Claudio Grossman. The eight-acre Tenley Campus site will provide a permanent home for AUWCL and enhance its rich tradition of innovation, excellence, and passion for the rule of law in the U.S. and beyond. MORE
The Office of Development and Alumni Relations and host committee of Wala Blegay '11, Laurie Monahan '12, and Emily O'Neill '12 will celebrate summer at a young alumni event at the Portrait Gallery and Ruth's Chris Steak House on Wednesday evening. More than 100 local alumni are expected to attend.
AUWCL and Thomson Reuters will host the "Latin America/U.S. M & A Trends, Trade, and Regulation Forum 2013," co-chaired by alumnus Thomas Morante '77 (Holland & Knight) and José Eduardo Carneiro Queiroz (Mattos Filhos). The two-day program held June 20-21 examines the growing Latin American deal and investment landscape, and provides an understanding of legal and regulatory dynamics driving business and mergers and acquisitions in Latin America.
