EVENTS

In addition to specialized courses and the Human Rights Month events, the Academy also hosts other special activities for its participants. These events are open to participants enrolled in any of the Academy courses.

 

 

Specialized Human Rights Program Orientation

A general orientation of the Specialized Human Rights Program will be held for you to pick up reading materials, register to attend the different special events and make changes in your course selection. This will be your first opportunity to meet the other participants and to start off the program.

Night Tour of the Monuments

Explore the city after dark on a guided monuments tour.

Tour includes stops (subject to change) at the Jefferson, Lincoln, Vietnam, Korean and FDR Memorials and views of The US Capitol, Library of Congress, Supreme Court, House and Senate Office Buildings, Federal Triangle, Pennsylvania Avenue, The White House, Capitol Reflecting Pool, Washington Monument, Georgetown and Marine Corps Memorial (Iwo Jima).
