Anti-Torture Initiative Seeks Fall 2013 Dean's Fellows
The Center’s Anti-Torture Initiative (ATI) is searching for dean’s fellows for the Fall. The ATI dean’s fellows will support the activities of the Project and the Special Rapporteur on Torture, WCL Professor Juan E. Mendez, regarding follow-up to the implementation of his thematic and country-specific recommendations through legal research, strategy planning and assisting with the preparation of follow-up country visits and related report drafting. Additionally, the dean’s fellows will support the project’s website and will be responsible for implementing outreach strategies through social media to expand the impact of the Special Rapporteur’s work.Successful applicants will have exceptional legal research and English-language writing skills, a demonstrated interest in human rights and active use of social media. Fluency in Spanish and knowledge of Word Press are highly desirable. Early applications will be prioritized.
