The Cool Human Rights Work I Did on My Summer Vacation

Tuesday, October 23

12 – 1:20 PM
Room 402

WCL students discussed their amazing human rights work experiences last summer.  They spoke about how they got their jobs, how they found funding, the craziest thing that happened to them in their travels, and the best and worst aspects of working in the human rights field in the US and abroad.  The panel discussion was followed by a brief networking opportunity!

Panelists included:

Miya Saika Chen - Center for Constitutional Rights, New York, NY
Caroline Lyznik - Farmworker Legal Services, Michigan
Alejandra Acevedo - Save the Young, Cameroon
Angela Edman - Balkan Investigative Reporting Network, Bosnia
