On Thursday, November 2, 2006, the Center co-sponsored a candid discussion with T.J. Parsell, author of FISH: A Memoir of a Boy in a Man’s Prison and President of Stop Prisoner Rape, who in the book tells of his incarceration at the age of 17, and his indoctrination into a brutal, sexually charged and power-hungry prison culture. Other panelists included the Senior Policy Associate for SPR, Cynthia Totten, and WCL Professor Brenda V. Smith. Copies of the book were made available for purchase at the event.
