- The Law profession was mostly exclusive to men, however, the primary factor in the rapid expansion of women lawyers in the early twentieth century was the availability of law schools the welcomed women.

- WCL was the first law school on the East Coast to change LL.B. to J.D (Juris Doctris) and always stayed as one of the forerunners in the progression for the study of Law in the United States and the World.
