Convener, Women Managers Project at TAPMI
Professor Sreenath obtained her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Law from the Madras Law College, Chennai and Doctoral Degree in Law from the University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram. She specializes in Business Law, Victim Compensation Law and Intellectual Property Rights. Professor Sreenath published more than 50 articles in various legal journals and presented papers in more than 20 national and international conferences and seminars. She is the co-author of a leading treatise on the Law relating to Compensation under the Motor Vehicles Act. Professor Sreenath has the rare privilege of having two of her articles approved and relied upon by the Andhra Pradesh High Court in two judgments. She is a Life Member of the Indian Law Institute, Indian Society of Victimology and the Global Alliance for Justice Education. She attended a week long Workshop organized by the Women and International Law Program at Washington College of Law, American University, from the 11th - 19th June 2004 at Portland, Oregon and Washington DC, USA. She is the Convener for the Women Managers Project at TAPMI, Manipal, Karnataka. Prior to joining TAPMI, Dr. Lalitha Sreenath was a Professor in the Department of Law, S.K. University, Anantapur. Her current interests are Gender Issues, Business Law and Intellectual Property Rights.
