Legal Rhetoric Instructor
Adjunct Instructor Jordan Strauss works for the National Security Division of the United States Department of Justice, where he focuses his practice on national security emergency preparedness and crisis response related matters, amongst other obligations. After joining the Department through the Attorney General's Honors Program, Mr. Strauss first worked in the Civil Frauds section of the Civil Division, which investigates and litigates claims against individuals and corporations who have defrauded the Government through federal contracts. Prior to joining the Department, Jordan clerked for a federal district court judge in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He is a magna cum laude graduate of the Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he was the recipient of the Bemis scholarship, a member of the law review and the Order of the Coif. He is the author of several academic articles. He has taught at the American University Washington College of Law since 2005.
