Koro Nuri is the Co-Deputy General Counsel (Acting) and Assistant General Counsel for Trade Finance and Insurance at the Export-Import Bank of the United States. Koro was a cum laude graduate of Tulane University Law School where he was also the Senior Research Editor for the Tulane Journal of International and Comparative Law and a Teaching Fellow for Legal Research and Writing. Prior to joining Ex-Im Bank, Koro worked as a project finance associate in the Washington D.C. office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. At Ex-Im Bank, Koro has been lead counsel on numerous project and structured trade finance transactions, including several transactions noted as “deal of the Year” by various industry publications and the first financing under Ex-Im Bank’s Framework Agreement with the People’s Republic of China. Koro has also been lead counsel on seven major satellite finance transactions and is currently a member of the United States delegation negotiating the “Space Protocol” for the Capetown Conventional on International Interests in Mobile Equipment sponsored by the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT).
