E-mail: meredith@american.edu
Professor Meredith joined the Adjunct Law Faculty at American University in 1988, when she first introduced satellite communications and space law to the law school’s course curriculum. The course covers international treaties, U.S. regulatory law, and contracts concerning communications satellites, satellite imaging, space transportation, and space tourism. The course also touches on civil and national security space programs.
The course is inspired by Professor Meredith’s law practice. Professor Meredith is the Co-chair of the Space Law Practice Group at Zuckert Scoutt & Rasenberger, L.L.P. Her practice focuses on space business planning and implementation. It includes U.S. government licensing of space ventures, satellite-related commercial transactions, and space insurance. It also includes space contract dispute resolution and arbitration.
