Initial Assignment

For the first class of the semester, please consider and be prepared to discuss the following:

The title of this seminar is "Law and Narration." Once we put some housekeeping matters behind us, we'll spend the bulk of our first class discussion what this title might mean. What connections do you see between storytelling, the law, and the work of lawyers? Be prepared to be as specific as possible in answering this question, and to illustrate your observations by reference to at least one recent newspaper story.
