In the last several years, it's been my special privilege to participate in the development of several
academic innovations at WCL: student exchanges with the University of Paris XNanterre and the
City University of Hong Kong and a Supervised Externship Program, which gives students working
for credit in legal workplaces around Washington an opportunity to reflect on the meaning of their
field experiences in a classroom setting. And these are only a few of the new activities which WCL can
boast of having launched. The tremendous recent successes of the Women and the Law and Law and
Government Programs are outstanding examples of what our community can accomplish. Currently,
I'm working on a new initiative to create a specialized program in my own field of specialization:
intellectual property. More generally, I'm convinced that WCL's institutional future depends on the
willingness and ability of faculty, students, and administrators to take an entrepreneurial approach to
the school's development. And I think we are meeting the challenge." - Peter Andrew Jaszi Supervised Externship Seminar: LAW AND NARRATION INTERNATIONAL AND COMPARATIVE COPYRIGHT |
