Dana DeLorenzo is an Attorney Advisor in the Office of Appeals Counsel at the U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board. She graduated from Franklin & Marshall College in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Sociology and she graduated magna cum laude from the Washington College of Law at American University in 2001.
Following law school, Dana clerked for the Honorable Stephanie Duncan-Peters in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Following her clerkship, she was an Assistant Attorney General in the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia (OAG), for five years. While at OAG, she represented the District Government in civil child abuse and neglect cases. She also represented victims of domestic violence and prosecuted criminal contempt matters. She further defended the District and its employees in a wide range of state and federal civil cases, with claims ranging from excessive force and false arrest by Metropolitan Police Department officers, to employment discrimination, negligence and medical malpractice. She is an active member of the District of Columbia Bar and she is admitted to practice law in the District and Maryland.
