Lily Arbab Camet came to the Criminal Justice Clinic in 2003. Her areas of specialty include: Clinical Legal Education, Criminal Law, Government Enforcement Litigation, Innocence Project/Wrongful Convictions. Prior to joining the Criminal Justice Clinic, she was a member of the adjunct faculty at WCL, where she supervised students in a fieldwork course involving the investigation of claims of factual innocence raised by indigent prisoners through The Innocence Project. Previously, she practiced criminal and civil defense with the D.C. office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP. There, she represented clients in congressional investigations, matters before independent counsel and the Department of Justice regarding allegations of election law violations, campaign finance improprieties obstruction of justice and perjury. She also litigated cases involving clients subject to enforcement actions by various government entities. She served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Pasco M. Bowman, II, of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
