Amy Myers is a Practitioner-in-Residence and Director of the Domestic Violence Clinic at American University Washington College of Law. In the Clinic, Amy supervises students’ representation of indigent survivors of intimate partner violence in family law and immigration cases. She also teaches a Clinic seminar on the theoretical and practical aspects of client-centered advocacy and a family law seminar. Prior to joining WCL, she was a supervising attorney at Women Empowered Against Violence (WEAVE) in Washington, DC, where she represented survivors of domestic violence in complex family law cases. She began at WEAVE as a Skadden Fellow, focusing on the intersection of domestic violence and child abuse.
