2011 Environmental Law Summer Session Photo Gallery

During the Summer Session on Environmental Law, participants have a chance to interact with each other and other practitioners in Washington, DC. Below is a collection of photographs from the 2011 Environmental Law Summer Session.

Participants in the International Institutions and Environmental Protection seminar with Professor David Hunter, Natalie Bridgeman, and others from Accountability Counsel in the lobby of the International Finance Corporation after a session with the IFC's Compliance Advisor/Ombudsman.

Participants in the Summer Session visit the Compliance Advisor/Ombudsman (CAO) at the IFC and participate in simulation exercises.

Participants were able to learn what it would be like if they worked for the CAO by participating in a simulation exercise involving a theoretical complaint about environmental and social problems caused by a project funded by an international financial institution.

 

Participants meet with Kris Genovese at the Center for International Environmental Law (CIEL) to learn about the important environmental law work that she and CIEL do.

Participants interact with each other and with members of Accountability Counsel and CIEL during a reception.

Participants from around the world discuss the work that they and their organizations do relating to environmental law.

Participants with the certificates they received upon completion of the 2011 Environmental Law Summer Session.
