Using the Metro and the American University Shuttle Service

From Union Station, National Airport, or downtown Washington,
Washington's Metro subway trains run Monday through Friday, 5:30
a.m. to midnight; Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. to midnight. The
closest Metro stop to The American University is Tenleytown/AU (also called Tenley Circle) on the Red Line.
Public Metro buses run on regular schedules from Tenley Circle
to the main campus, less than a mile away. Metro can give you
information on specific routes and timetables for its buses and

the website of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority.
From
the Tenleytown/AU Metro stop you can pick up the American University
Shuttle. The shuttle service runs daily at 15 minute intervals
on weekdays and half hour intervals on weekends. The shuttle will
take you onto main campus where you will find the shuttle to the
Washington College of Law. This stop is located
on the south side of campus between the Letts/Anderson Housing
Complex and Campus Security. The
Law
School Shuttle (WCL Direct Shuttle) runs daily at thirty minute intervals (20 minutes
and 50 minutes past the hour) from 7:20am to 12:20am Monday -
Friday and 8:20am to 12:50am on weekends. For more information
