Activities
To learn about a different culture and understand a different legal system site visits and extracurricular activities are as important as the formal classes. The Program includes:
- Visit to the Chilean Congress in the city of Valparaiso and weekend in the beach city of Viña del Mar.
- Visit to the Supreme Court or Santiago Court of Appeals. Students will see how the Chilean judicial system works. In previous years, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court has lectured the students on the Chilean judicial system.
- Visit to the Supreme Court, Government House and the Congress in Argentina.
- Visit to Villa Grimaldi, a former detention Center during the first years of the Pinochet dictatorship in Chile
- Ski weekend in the Andes Mountains.
- Weekly Movie Night. Each week the program will show a Chilean or Argentine movie. Pizza and beverages will be provided to students.
NOTE: Subject to weather conditions.
Other visits may include:
- Tour of the Government Palace
- Visit to a Chilean or Argentine Law Firm
- Visit to the American Embassy in Santiago
- Visit to a Chilean prison
