Round Table: Arbitration in Brazil - An event organized by the Center on International Commercial Arbitration.

Brazilian specialists examined and discussed the current state of affairs and what the future holds for international arbitration in Brazil. Specifically, the panelists discussed the legal framework of international commercial arbitration in Brazil, arbitration and public administration, expected investments for the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the 2016 Olympic Games, and recognition of foreign arbitral awards in Brazil.

Dr. Renata Brazil David, former Associate Director of the Brazil-U.S. Legal and Judicial Studies Program, moderated the event. Leonardo de Campos Melo, Partner at Sergio Bermudes Law Firm, Silvia Rodrigues P. Pachikoski, Partner at Rodrigues Pachikoski and Staffa Neto Law Firm, and Fabiola Saldanha, Senior Attorney at the National Treasury of Brazil, sat on the panel.
