CARCEN: Volunteers Needed for 4/10 Immigration Rally

Please click the "Read more" button below for the whole message. -- -- Join CARCEN and tens of thousands of community, labor and immigrant rights supporters to urge Congress to address the nation's immigration crisis by passing commonsense immigration reform in 2013 that includes a roadmap to citizenship for 11 million undocumented immigrants. The rally will be on Wednesday, April 10 at 3:00pm on the West Lawn of the Capitol. Volunteer marshals and peace keepers are needed downtown on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol and surrounding Metro stops. Volunteers will be directing people from Metro stops closest to the West Lawn, on the way to the West Lawn of the Capitol, and access to stage, will hand signs to the rally participants coming in by bus from throughout the region and will ensure our action will be conducted in an orderly fashion.   Training is scheduled for Monday, April 8 at 6:30 pm at SEIU 32BJ office at 1025 Vermont Ave NW, 7th floor (near McPherson Square Metro). Lots of bilingual volunteers needed!
