Interested in voter rights and free and fair elections? Come learn how you can take action to protect the right to vote. The Center for Human Rights & Humanitarian Law has spoken with several student groups here at WCL who are interested in launching a bipartisan initiative to protect voter rights and promote free and fair elections in anticipation of the upcoming elections this November. The Center is also partnering with the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, which has significant experience leading national Election Protection efforts and utilizing law student volunteers for the ongoing monitoring of voter rights hotlines and the monitoring of local polling locations on election day. Please contact Whitney Hayes, the Center's Program Coordinator, with any questions or comments. She can be reached by email at email@example.com or phone at 202-274-4180. Hours spent working on election day will count toward the legal hours requirement of the Pro Bono Honors Pledge.
