Welcome to the 2009-10 school year! The WCL Office of Public Interest (OPI) is excited to have our upperclass students back on campus and to welcome a new class of 1L students. OPI educates law students about their professional responsibility to perform public service work as practicing attorneys, fostering a lifelong commitment to public service. (continued)
Over the summer, OPI created this blog as a way to share information with WCL community, providing up-to-date news and commentary about public interest activities and hot topics in the profession. Blog posts provide information on employment opportunities, pro bono projects, fellowships, financing a public interest career, and upcoming events. Jarrod Shirk, Public Interest Coordinator, is the blog administrator. He can be reached here for questions or comments regarding this blog or WCL's public interest programming and outreach.
