U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI), a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization dedicated to addressing the needs and rights of refugees and immigrants seeks two highly-motivated and creative individuals with experience in the immigration law field for its program, The National Center for Refugee and Immigrant Children. USCRI has served refugees and immigrants and defended the rights of refugees, asylum seekers, and internally displaced persons worldwide since 1911.

USCRI helps thousands of refugees resettle and build new lives in the United States each year. Our Partner Agencies provide legal immigration assistance to newcomers in their community and an array of social services to assist their economic and social self-sufficiency. USCRI, well-known for our international reporting of refugee crises and conditions affecting refugees and forced migrants, also publishes the annual World Refugee Survey.

USCRI will be serving as a host site for two Equal Justice Works Americorps Legal Fellows for one year beginning in September 2009.  Graduates interested in immigration law and/or child welfare law should review the following position descriptions.
