Our immigration attorneys will be making a presentation about eligibility requirements, documents needed to apply, exceptions, citizenship interview and exam and will answer questions. We are looking for volunteers who can help us screen those interested to start the application process.  Spanish fluency required. Then clinic will take place on January 19, 2013 at 12 noon, 1460 Columbia Road NW, Suite C-1

Please click the "Read more" button below for the whole message. -- -- SAALT Naturalization clinics provide multilingual legal advice and immigration assistance, as well as referral services for a host of different citizenship needs. Naturalization clinics offer free assistance and up-to-date information to community members who may have limited access to resources due to income, level of English-proficiency, and other considerations. As a law student volunteer, your role would focus on initial intake duties, assisting pro bono immigration attorneys, and providing interpretation in Montgomery County, MD. You may register for one or more half-day clinics. Training will be provided. Hindi, Urdu, Bangla, Tamil or proficiency in another South Asian language preferred but not required. The first clinic will be held on January 27, 2013 , 10am – 2pm at the Southern Asian Seventh Day Adventist Church in Silver Spring, MD.Please contact Avani Mody at avani@saalt.org by January 18 to participate.
