WCL students can get legal pro bono hours by helping with the clinic. At the clinic, low-income workers can walk in without an appointment and have a one-on-one consultation with a trained intake counselor who will provide legal advice with the assistance of an experienced employment law attorney. The next intake training will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Bread for the City, which is located at 1525 7th Street NW Washington, DC 20001.

UNROW Human Rights Impact Litigation Clinic translation work

Seeking fluent Spanish and English speakers to translate parts of a submission to the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. The translation will be from Spanish into English with a 5 hour minimum commitment. Work can be done remotely. Deadline for translations is Friday December 28, 2012. Naturalization Workshops with Hogar Hispano

Saturday 1/12/13 9:15 AM – 3:30 PM at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, 46833 Harry Byrd Hwy., Sterling, VA 20164. Hogar Hispano is a part of Catholic Charities. At the naturalization workshops, volunteers will help eligible permanent residents (green card holders) completed naturalization applications to become U.S. citizens. Donuts & coffee will be served for breakfast and pizza during lunch. (Note: If you need to leave early, please let Hogar Hispano know. But all volunteers must be there at 9:15 before the 9:30 training starts.)
