Data Ports Added Throughout The Library

Over the break, IT added over 200 data ports throughout the library. We have attached 3' cables to the ports in the carrels. PLEASE LEAVE THEM IN PLACE. If you need an ethernet cable for other purposes, we'll gladly give you one at the Help Desk.
We will be adding data cables to the tables throughout the library, once Facilities drills holes in the table tops.
We have also added networking hubs in the Study Rooms and have attached an ethernet cable to make connect the hub. Again, PLEASE LEAVE THEM IN PLACE. We will be adding ethernet cables for users to connect laptops once the holes are cut in the table tops.
If you know you're going to remain in one spot for 30 minutes or longer, PLUG IN for a faster wired connection. Also, help out your fellow students. If you know how to quickly and easily disable your wireless card while you're on the wired network, do so to free up the wireless network for others.
